Administrative Assistant – J.D. Greear Ministries
This position provides full administrative support to the J.D. Greear Ministry Team.
The Local Outreach and First Impressions Associate leads the North Durham Campus in reaching out to its immediate community and by assisting pastoral staff in the resourcing, equipping, and directing of local outreach champions at the campus level. Additionally, the Associate leads First Impressions at the North Durham Campus. This includes responsibility for everything from the street to the seat and for catalyzing all connection points to membership and engagement.
This position provides the leadership of the student ministry of the Summit Church at the Downtown Durham Campus. This includes pastoral care, program supervision, leadership development, and overseeing all spiritual instruction of 5th-12th grade students at the Downtown Durham Campus.
Strives to exalt Jesus and disciple worshipers by embodying and executing Summit Worship DNA. Leads congregation and volunteer teams in gathered worship in alignment with the Campus Pastor and Central Ministries. Contributes to the central ministry of Summit Worship. The Campus Worship Leader is a direct report to the Campus Pastor and also receives coaching and leadership from the Worship Pastor.
A Church Planting Residency is a full-time, nine-month position at The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham for lead planters. Participants receive a realistic experience of life and ministry in a church planting church while preparing to plant a church in North America. Residents receive assessment, training, and ongoing coaching through the Summit Network while recruiting a team, fundraising, and developing their strategy for the future plant. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be sent out to plant.
The Summit Ministry Internship (SMI) is a nine-month, 20-hours-per-week support raising position intended for men and women who are exploring a call to ministry. The program combines focused training, hands-on experience, and intentional mentorship to help participants grow in their leadership ability and clarify their calling. Upon completion of the program participants will possess valuable ministry experience, a meaningful relationship with Summit staff members, and better understanding of their calling.
Whether you’re a man called to pastor or a woman called to church ministry, understanding the importance of training is your first step toward a life of healthy and effective ministry. The apprenticeship is an intensive, two-year training experience that offers significant hands-on ministry experience, weekly training, and mentorship by seasoned church leaders. The apprenticeship is a support raising position up to 35 hours per week.
