A Church Planting Residency is a full-time, nine-month position at The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham for lead planters. Participants receive a realistic experience of life and ministry in a church planting church while preparing to plant a church in North America. Residents receive assessment, training, and ongoing coaching through the Summit Network while recruiting a team, fundraising, and developing their strategy for the future plant. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be sent out to plant.
The Summit Ministry Internship (SMI) is a nine-month, 12-hours-per-week position intended for men and women who are exploring a call to ministry. The program combines focused training, hands-on experience, and intentional mentorship to help participants grow in their leadership ability and clarify their calling. Upon completion of the program participants will possess valuable ministry experience, a meaningful relationship with Summit staff members, and better understanding of their calling.
The Pastoral Apprenticeship is a two-year, 25-hours-per-week, support-based staff position designed for men who feel called into pastoral ministry. The program combines in-depth training, meaningful ministry responsibility, and intentional mentorship to equip participants to step into full time pastoral ministry at the completion of the program. Men who feel called to pastoral ministry and desire to be intentionally invested in and challenged in a gospel-saturated environment should apply.
