At the Summit we use a unique number to identify each giver so that we can keep track of each gift for accounting and tax purposes. This number is an “envelope number”, so-named because we send envelopes to our regular givers with the number pre-printed on them. (However, even givers who don’t receive envelopes at all are assigned an envelope number).
