What are Freedom Groups?

A Freedom group is an intense small group that digs deep into the difficult and often unspoken areas of life.

Freedom Group members challenge one another with the gospel and its very tangible application to one another's lives. Strong friendships are often forged through the fire of battling through life's issues together.

Targeted
Currently each freedom group is designed to target a certain struggle or issue. These groups are single-gender to allow for more freedom in discussion than normally occurs in mixed-gender settings. For 2010, the following freedom groups are being offered:

  • Men's Anger 
  • Men's Purity
  • Men's Grief/Past Hurts
  • Women's Anger
  • Women's Past Hurts
  • Women's Grief
  • Women's Eating Disorder

Beginning in February 2011 an introductory freedom group will be offerered for everyone wishing to participate in a freedom group.

Beginning
Freedom groups are designed to help you start the journey towards freedom found in Jesus Christ. These are not permanent groups. At a time decided by you and your group leader, our hope is for you to take your experience from freedom group into a summit small group.
