Counseling

The Summit offers several different types of counseling ministry; each designed to unpack the hope of the gospel for the unique features of our various struggles.

Small Groups

Even if you chose another part of our church’s ministry for care at this time, we highly recommend joining a small group. The sustainability of any change will be greatly enhanced by the relationships, encouragement, and accountability a small group provides.

Subject-Specific Recovery Groups (Freedom Groups) and Mentoring Relationships for Pre-Marital Couples

These ministries utilize series video-based curriculums and a complementing study guide for the group or mentoring relationship. They are led by lay people who have personal experience and special compassion for their given subject area. The video-based curriculum can also be used on your own with a trusted friend from your small group and contain assessments to help you discern if you should add a more experienced level of care to your small group, Freedom Group, or mentoring relationship.

Graduate-Level Counseling Intern Program

This program offers free personal or marital counseling to our members and community. Our counseling interns are completing their masters or doctoral degrees in counseling and receive supervision from the pastor of counseling and the professors of their respective institutions as they serve you.

Bridgehaven Counseling Associates

This non profit, supported by the Summit Church, provides a context to receive counseling from a full-time, experienced counselor on a donation basis. Bridgehaven offers a high quality of care that is both clinically-informed and consistent with the teaching of The Summit Church.
